Fun on the Farm

Only he can understand what a farm is, what a country is, who shall have sacrificed part of himself to his farm or country, fought to save it, struggled to make it beautiful. Only then will the love of farm or country fill his heart.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Fiona and I recently enjoyed our first girls-only road trip: a weekend visit home to my parent's mini-farm in Asheville.  Our little one is definitely a farm girl.  She loved everything about spending time outside with Grandpa, the chickens, horses, and Mr. Pig. I'm so grateful that as Fiona grows, she'll have this refuge from the hustle and bustle of our very city-fied life.

Mr. Pig was more afraid of Fiona than she was of him

The animals were great, but riding around in the wheelbarrow was even better!

I love it here!

Super cute update! Just wish that it hadn't been so cold so Miss Fi's smiling face wasn't so bundled up!
